The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for driving long-term process improvements in this manufacturing facility. Will establish continuous improvement roll-out timelines for their area of focus and create structured training and implementation of continuous improvement plan.
 
  • Process Oriented Management (i.e. involvement of all people, simplification of all flows and implementation of structured methods.)
  • Executing the Autonomous Management Master plan implementation for the site.
  • Utilizing practical tools to drive improvements (problem solving groups, root cause analysis, work instructions, 5S, etc.)
  • Establishing a continuous improvement roll-out timeline for their area of focus that is aligned with the goals of the organization.
  • Creating a structured training and implementation plan through the use of outside experts.
  • Tailoring the continuous improvement methodologies to the teams.
  • Initiating Problem Solving Groups when necessary
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or similar
  •  5+  years of manufacturing experience, including internships
  • Ability to influence production unit, support staff and others
  • Ability and willingness to initiate continuous improvement practices and trainings, i.e. lean, 5S, WCM, TPM, Six Sigma
  • Ability to establish and maintain trust of the supervisory group and hourly associates
  • Ability to develop working relationships with engineering, quality and corporate
