DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
Develop strategic direction for R&D and category development.
Manage accounts P&L and responsible for NPC P&L.
Develop and implement overall strategic plan for new and existing product lines including sales goals, profit goals, new product mix, cost reductions, quality improvements and marketing participation goals.
Must be able to aid in the execution and development of new product launches, including the preparation and management of project timelines, formulation of overall objectives, methods and procedures for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings.
Provide development, coaching and feedback to staff to continuously improve performance and processes.
Manage development of pricing for product line consistent with profit objectives and with external competitive market price points.
Champion full lifecycle management of new and existing products, including evaluate existing products to determine profitability & viability.
Leads primary and secondary research to assess the competitive position of product portfolio against the competition, as well as assess future growth opportunities.
Maintains current knowledge of market trends, technologies, competitors, customer base, market size, channels of distribution and industry trade associations.
Requirements:
Project management
Financial competence to manage P&L
Education:
BA/BS minimum. MBA preferred.
Experience:
7 to 10 years experience in product management
3 to 5 years experience as a Product Manager
5+ years experience in consumer packaging goods and Private Label business
Retail experience preferred
