Our Client is a leading international manufacturer of Funeral Industry products.
We are looking for an Account Manager responsible for prospecting new accounts, service existing accounts, and reactivating inactive accounts. This position is a territory-based, outside sales position. You will report to the Director of Sales and Customer Service. Our ideal candidate has a background and experience selling in the funeral industry, has delivered a high level of customer service, account management, and has had sales throughout their career.
This individual shall devote his full-time attention, talents, skills, and efforts to the achievement of expected performance in terms of his responsibilities, which shall include, but are not limited to, the following core areas:
Directly manage all aspects of a New York Metro sales territory with minimum need for constant supervision, making the best use of time and travel to present all products, programs, and services to prospective customers.
Successfully achieve all sales and promotion program objectives.
Maintain quality relationships with all established and prospective customers through an effective call route plan.
Maintain customer information and perform other administrative duties.
Identify customer needs using consultative selling practices, exploratory information gathering, analytical skills, and empathic listening.
Actively maintain customer call planning system to effectively service accounts and build relationships using strategic prioritization and organizational management.
Utilize problem-solving skills to identify objections and remove barriers to Company products and related offerings.
Effectively use computer skills to analyze, update and implement Company sales plans and merchandising programs.
Establish and maintain productive communications with corporate office staff as well as field-based logistics and support personnel.

The Account Manager must bring a track record of building relationships ideally in the funeral industry, and an understanding of selling caskets, containers, urn's, and other funeral merchandise. If you are a sales professional who commands authority, has empathy and insight, and can think on your feet, we would like to speak with you.
Although this is a remote position, we would prefer the individual to live nearby to Nassau County on Long Island to come to the office on a regular basis.
