Project Engineer/Sourcing Analyst – Packaging

As the Project Engineer you will be responsible for being the subject matter expert in sourcing several materials and other product applications throughout the company’s portfolio. You will be a project leader overseeing cost saving strategies in the supply chain like qualifying new suppliers or materials that can save costs and improve product quality. We need someone who is hands on and has a strong technical background to be able to interact with all departments on projects like engineering, NPD, sales and more. This role is a hybrid between a project manager (can coordinate and drive cross-functional teams), a continuous improvement/cost saving engineer, and a sourcing/procurement leader for several facilities.
To be successful in this role:
  • Technical degree preferred – Engineering or Packaging Science
  • 2+ years in a plastics manufactured products – Injection Molding, Blow Molding, etc.
  • Experience with sourcing of induction liners ideal for caps and closures
  • True problem solver with proven success in driving cost savings strategies through Continuous Improvement
  • A practical project leader capable of interacting with all levels of the business
Location – This position is flexible on locations, but ideally will be based in one of their facilities and will travel to all locations. There are 3 total in the US in Northeastern Ohio, Upstate New Jersey and Upstate New York. Travel is likely 40-50%.
