Looking for a hands on manufacturing engineer who is curious and likes to get their hands dirty. The company has a reputation as an employer of choice and building careers. 

  • Proactively providing engineering and technical assistance to the plant in term of equipment, maintenance, production processes and systems, and facility maintenance. 
  • Actively participating as a member of the Leadership Team in driving overall plant performance. 
  • Leading plant Quality and ISO teams in maintaining and improving plant quality 
  • Maintaining plant maintenance stores and maintenance purchase items 
  • Working with plant maintenance personnel and systems 
  • Identifying and resolving common cause and special cause issues that impact plant reliability and performance. 
  • Investigating manufacturing problems in the plant and recommending corrective actions.  This includes consulting with production and maintenance personnel, analyzing the supporting data, recommending corrective actions, and following through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness. 
  • Executing capital projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met or exceeded.  This may vary from owning portions of a large project to sole ownership of a project. 
  • Assisting in and / or developing vendor bid packages and final vendor selection for purchased parts and services. 
  • Educating plant personnel on engineering and technical issues to ensure their knowledge and understanding. 
  • Coordinating training and start up activities of new equipment and processes. 
  • Participating in Lean efforts, such as kaizen events, where an emphasis is placed on creativity before capital investment.
 Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong change management skills and experience 
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills 
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • PLC Programming Experience 
  • Capital project management 
  • CAD 
  • Previous experience with the application of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Statistical Process Control and Team Facilitation.
