Currently looking for an experienced
to fill a position with a manufacturer who sells into a diverse client base. Interested candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of engineered product sales experience. Position reports directly to President.
Responsibilities of the Sales Manager:
Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting used by the sales organization.
Ensures planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes employed within the Company.
Provides leadership to the sales organization, and counsel to the President in implementing sales organization objectives that appropriately reflect the Company’s business goals.
Accountable for the timely assignment of all sales objectives.
Partners with senior leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
Facilitates successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch.
Fosters and facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
Recommends changes and enhancements to the company customer relationship / sales management technology platform in Sage MAS500.
Responsible for the identification of sales support needs and the development of sales personnel.
Supports a change management process to build organizational understanding of proposed changes.
Works closely with senior leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales organization success.
Aligns reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management priorities.
Identify the need and/or develops new reporting tools as needed.
Works closely with Accounting and Human Resources to establish rules, policies, and procedures associated with sales compensation.
Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
Requirements of the Sales Manager:
Four year college degree from an accredited institution; master of business administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred.
Minimum five years of sales or sales management experience in a manufacturing business-to-business sales environment
Minimum five years in a sales operations, business planning, or sales support management role
Experience successfully managing analytically corporate initiatives (ability to forecast and budget)
Proficient in technology; including experience in CRM reporting and analytics
Experience in developing new customers and expanding product line offerings
Willingness to travel - typically 20%
Compensation for the Sales Manager:
Base salary - $90K to $100K Range
25% Bonus opportunity
