The Product Management Leader/Owner defines product strategy and road map, evaluates third-party technologies to enhance the core product offering to consumers, collaborates with software engineering to produce specifications that evolve the platform’s feature set for both internal and external customers, and works closely with engineering to ensure quality on-time deliverable.
Build a UI strategy and product requirements, integrate user research, analytics, and usability testing into functional and design specs, improve site and app usability and conversion rates while balancing merchant placement requirements, leverage your deep understanding and passion for designing and implementing simple and intuitive user interfaces across channels, especially mobile
Influence decision-making at the highest levels of the company. You’ll create product strategy and road maps that identify areas where improvement is needed; and capitalize on unmet opportunities.
Develop requirements, specifications, and enhancements to client’s suite of product offerings. Be a “player / coach” in the same role at the same time.
Perform extensive research to completely understand how our product offering stacks up against other options consumers must optimize their business, globally, but by market.
Live in the data and believe the best way to democratize product decisions is querying the database for insights and building ad-hoc reports.
Lead cross-functional teams, serving as product and part project manager, to establish milestones and manage development and QA efforts.
Provide detailed consultation to internal sales and 3rd party partners to determine integration/interface requirements as needed.
Fully own quality through hands-on quality assurance testing and make sure nothing gets lost in translation. You’re inquisitive about how the platform works and want to fix mediocre implementations when you see them.
Builds & maintains up to date industry knowledge of online travel media, online booking trends and revenue strategies
Automate as much as possible and develop scalable processes in a high-volume web to consumer environment.
User Experience Design -- Skill with User Experience and User Interface Design inclusive but not limited to of usability testing, wire frames, flows, information architecture, heuristics, human computer interaction
Product Management Leadership -- Significant correlative and comparable Internet product management experience to execute responsibilities seamlessly, Experience managing and mentoring a team of product managers as direct reports
Industry experience -- In payments, e-commerce, financial services or other transaction-intensive consumer applications preferred
Software Engineering Interface -- Expertise and comfort in explaining how APIs work to both business and technical audiences, a desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with varied responsibilities
Program and Project Management -- High attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time. Successfully able to meet deadlines.
Strong problem solving -- analytic, and decision-making skills. Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate innovative and effective actions plans to resolve issues,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -- Strong customer-centric communication skills. Ability to communicate to both business and technical personnel. Displays ‘grace under pressure’ ethic at all times, with both customers and peers, must be great team player that works well in collaborative situations
College degree --BS/BA required; MBA a plus
